Ozone Disinfection & Sterilization Mechanism
Our electrolytic ozone technology operates by electrolyzing water molecules at the electrode surface under low voltage. This process generates powerful oxidizing agents, primarily Ozone (O₃) and Hydroxyl Radicals (·OH). These agents possess exceptionally high oxidation-reduction potentials (2.07V for O₃ and 2.8V for ·OH), far surpassing common disinfectants like sodium hypochlorite (1.63V). This superior reactivity enables the rapid and effective elimination of a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses. The sterilization process occurs through the following biochemical oxidation reactions:
Microbial Cell Membranes: Penetrated and dissolved, leading to structural collapse.
